More Within Reach Than You Think
Home is where you settle in at the end of the day, welcome the people you love, and surround yourself with things that mean something to you. You want it to feel comfortable, inviting, and like your own.
Still, a room can have all the essentials and feel unfinished. Perhaps the wall above the sofa is waiting for something, or the artwork you chose years ago no longer reflects your taste. A thoughtfully chosen piece can bring color, warmth, and more of your personality into the space.
That finishing touch may be more within reach than you imagine.
What I Hear Over And Over...
At art markets, during personal consultations, and even in messages on social media, I often hear: “I love your work. I wish I could afford it.”
After hearing that enough times, I began asking, “What would you expect it to cost?”
The answers often arrive with a tentative smile: “Around $700?” Sometimes, “Two thousand?”
“Are you thinking of an original on canvas, or a print?” I ask.
“Oh, a print.”
This is a part of the conversation I always enjoy. When I explain that my prints range from $35 to $98, plus tax, something that seemed out of reach suddenly becomes a possibility.
And then the conversation changes. We can talk about what caught your eye, what you love about it, and where you might enjoy it in your home.
Start with a piece of art that feels "just right"
Perhaps it’s a landscape that reminds you of somewhere you’ve been. A floral with colors you keep coming back to. Or a bird with an expression that makes you smile.
That connection is a lovely place to begin. You don’t need an empty wall waiting or a complete decorating plan. When a piece speaks to you, we can explore how to make it part of your home.
Imagine where you would enjoy seeing it—from your favorite chair, as you walk through the front door, or beside your bed. You might rearrange a shelf or move an existing
piece to give your new favorite a place.
Look for connections to what you already own: a blue that echoes your favorite chair, warm tones that complement a wooden chest, or a subject that belongs among your travel keepsakes.
I can print to the size your space needs, including dimensions that aren’t listed on my website. If you love an image but don’t see the right size, ask me. We can explore dimensions and pricing together, keeping what you’re comfortable spending in mind.
Here are a few starting points.
10 × 10 matted minis: art for walls and tabletops
The wall beside a doorway, a stair landing, or a small wall between rooms can be a lovely place for art. Decorators sometimes call these transition walls—the walls that connect one part of your home to another.
Try stacking two matted minis vertically or clustering several that share a color, subject, or mood.
They’re also lovely on a miniature art easel, framed or displayed in their mats. Place one on a shelf, coffee table, or bedside table alongside a favorite book and a pottery bowl. That’s a vignette: a thoughtful arrangement of objects that feel at home together.
12 × 18: a little more presence
A 12 × 18 works well on a broader hallway wall, between doorways, or in an entry. One piece can give a defined space a focal point; a pair can carry a favorite color or feeling along a passage.
Let the wall’s shape guide you toward a vertical or horizontal presentation.
16 × 16 and 16 × 20: a focal point above a favorite furnishing
I offer many pieces in 16 × 16, and both this square format and the 16 × 20 can stand comfortably above a bedside chest, compact entry table, or smaller cabinet.
Picture a favorite floral above a chest, with a lamp to one side. The artwork brings the arrangement together without requiring you to rethink the room.
The furniture’s width helps determine the right scale. If you’re picturing the piece above a wider dresser, we can consider a larger print.
24 × 16 and 20 × 36: let one piece lead
These sizes give artwork more presence, with 20 × 36 offering a particularly substantial focal point. Depending on the furniture’s width and the artwork’s orientation, they can work above a dresser, console, or sideboard, or on an open wall.
For a long sofa or a more expansive space, we can explore larger dimensions. Start with the image you love, and we’ll find the size that suits its setting.

I’m also introducing rolled originals on canvas, with mounting and framing available for those interested. For a finished piece ready for your wall, framed originals begin at $590 and extend into the mid-thousands.
